Job Description The Filtration Operator is part of the process sector operations team. He/She is in charge of residue filtration circuit operations to optimize the circuit according to established performance indicators. He/She identifies operational and mechanical equipment problems in his sector.
DESCRIPTION
 Ensure the proper functioning of equipment by using a DCS control system and conducting periodic inspections such as:
o Horizontal press filters
o Conveyors
o Non-sulfurous and concentrated residue thickeners
o Non-sulfide and sulfur concentrate holding tanks
o All other related auxiliary equipment
 Start and stop sector equipment according to established procedures
 Conduct quality control tests (e.g. : determining humidity rates) on the process in order to ensure compliance with operating instructions
 Ensure the integrity of operation samples and prepare them for laboratory analysis
 Comply with, know and promote company rules and policies, particularly in occupational health and safety
 Ensure that workplaces are clean and safe at all times
 Report all incidents/accidents to the Supervisor
 Participate in the continuous training program to replace the Grinding or Backfill Operator
 Participate in projects and tests in cooperation with external stakeholders
 Maintain production information records and write reports
 Assist the Fixed Equipment Mechanics during maintenance work and production shutdowns
 All other related tasks

Requirements REQUIREMENTS
• Vocational studies diploma in ore processing or a combination of studies and relevant experience
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Filtration Operator
• Knowledge of DCS/PLC control systems
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Bilingualism is an asset
