Job Description The Payroll Administrator is part of the Finance and Accounting team. He/she ensures payroll
processing for all employees and offers front-line service in payroll management, process
improvement and statutory and regulatory compliance. He/she works closely with the Human
Resources Department for activities related to management and application of compensation
policies and benefit programs.
 Perform the payroll preparation, processing and verifications steps
 Prepare and send the required reports and/or payments to the government and other
authorities according to the established procedures
 Reconcile the payroll entries and investigate the variances in collaboration with the
Accounting team
 Produce various management reports and participate in the establishment of the
budgeted payroll
 Produce the year-end reports and the tax slips
 Ensure the payroll practices are compliant with the applicable laws and regulations
 Ensure maintenance and update of the payroll system by collaborating with the parent
company's Design and Programming team, located in Vancouver.
 Keep up to date on the laws, regulations and practices in order to identify the changes
and/or improvements to be made
 Inform the employees and managers about the questions related to timesheets,
compensation policies, deductions at source, etc.
 Participate in the various audit processes of the payroll cycle
 Participate in the improvement, development and implementation of payroll policies
and processes
 Respect, know and promote company regulations and policies
 Perform all other tasks related to the performance of his/her duties.

Requirements · College-level diploma in accounting or combination of relevant education and
· At least three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a similar position
· Bilingualism required
· Membership in the Canadian Payroll Association an advantage
· Knowledge of the SAP system an advantage
 Demonstrates oral and written communication skills in English and French
 Ability to analyze and solve problems
 Attention to detail
 Respect for confidentiality
