DEPARTMENT: Embassy of the Cree Nation

STATUS: Permanent

LOCATION: Montreal or Other Cree Communities

SALARY GRADE 4: (Min. $46,031.00- Max. $69,047.00)

The Web Communications Specialist is responsible for working with internal and external stakeholders of the Cree Nation Government / Grand Council of the Cree, in order to create and maintain the content of the its website. In this highly collaborative environment, the incumbent is also responsible for managing the day to day operations of the website including user administration, responding to support requests and inquiries, and providing input into the direction and use of the website.

Functional Responsibilities:
 Collaborate on and adapt content for the website and social media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). Participate in the continuous improvement process linked to the infrastructure and design of the website, by providing suggestions and recommendations.
 Implement enhancements and provide on-going support of WordPress, in addition to troubleshoot the website when necessary.
Web administration and reporting responsibilities:
 Respond to or route internal and external mail, inquiries and/ or comments.
 Site administration including: user management, plugins, and settings.
 Prepare and maintain training materials and documentation for the website.
 Prepare web traffic statistics and report as requested.
 Troubleshoot and assist users in resolving issues.
Interaction/ Communication Responsibilities:
 Main point of contact to other departments in order to update and generate content on the website.

Additional responsibilities:
 Maintain up do date knowledge and skills in area(s) of responsibility.
 Other related tasks as may be assigned by the Director of Cree-Quebec Relations.
